The Flying Pickle in Post Falls in the largest indoor pickleball facility in Northern Idaho with 24 courts, food, a Selkirk store and an upstairs mezzanine that serves as a great viewpoint as well as a lounge to work in between games. If you are looking for more open play opportunities, round robin courts to play with your friends and/or leagues this may be the gym for you. Ok so if you didn’t get a chance to visit this HUGE facility on their opening day I have you covered, I did and was impressed. I took a few pictures to share with y’all so you can see before you visit and try to wrap your head around what this company is about, and why you might want to join. First off you should know that there are others, and your membership includes entrance to those as well (huge plus since I spend a decent amount of time around Boise and there is one in Meridian and Nampa now).
Below is a view of just half of the courts taken in the elevated mezzanine area of the facility. Just half of them!! I didn’t think this area would be such a big deal but it was full of lots of tables, chairs and plugs which instantly made me think “oh my goodness, I could totally work up here in between games!” Obviously I am a blogger but really anyone who works from home on a laptop could do the same thing. I am sure you’re like me and are sometimes more effective when you get out of the home and can work in different scenery. 😉
How Many Indoor Courts are at The Flying Pickle in Post Falls?
With your membership you get 24 indoor courts to choose from. There is one in the very center with a lot of room around it that is the “championship court” and the others are facing different directions with fences all the way around with a small opening between the two next to one another. What I loved seeing was “The Kitchen” which was literally that, but a fun name for a food area nonetheless. Offering quite a few high protein selections there like tacos and breakfast burritos, they also have things that little ones might enjoy like quesadillas. There is wine and beer as well if you are staying all day and want to take a load off for a while as well as tables to sit and people watch while you eat.
While we were there they had a fun competition between 2 instructors against guests to see if anyone could get a point off of them. This was on the championship court which was created in hopes of hosting a PPA or MLP event in the future (which would be so amazing to attend). With your membership you can reserve this court too where there is tons of room around it for onlookers.
Flying Pickle Post Falls Membership
I have been eyeing this facility since they announced it was coming quite a while ago. The membership fees are either 119.00 or 149.00 a month, or you can save a bit if you pay for the whole year up front. I saw they are offering the first 22 days for $39 so you can try it out, or you can pay as you go as a drop in for about $20 each day….both of which I am considering to figure out if I ultimately want to do the switcheroo from my other Indoor Pickleball Courts in Post Falls that don’t have near as many courts as this one.
Things I’m considering……of course I have made many many friends at my current gym and would want a few of my besties to move over with me (some already have). I’m really interested in the idea of having open play for all levels offered every single day, but would love to see the schedule they come up with first. It seems like they will have several clinics offered and I would love to attend one to experience the ways their pros teach first. Their pro membership includes 1 free clinic each month which is an attractive offer for sure….

I think I covered almost everything I have learned thus far in this review but when I go to test it out I will add more info as it comes if I feel it is relevant and important for you to make a decision about joining too. Overall, in just those few hours, I was impressed. I knew I would love it since it is much larger than others in Northern Idaho but will say I loved it more when I actually visited it. The staff was friendly, helpful, and I saw many I already knew playing on the courts.
