Indoor Pickleball Courts (Idaho)

Share with your friends!

Of course you can play outside but in this state where 4 months out of the year it is snowing and about 2 months beyond that is pretty darn cold you need the ability to play inside right?? I get it, and actually prefer to play indoors just because you don’t have to worry about wind or other factors like extreme heat or sunburns. 😉 More people must be on my same wavelength because new facilities are popping up more and more, let’s talk about where they are…

What cities in Idaho have indoor pickleball courts?

There may not be as many as other states but we are growing!! Let’s start in Northern Idaho and work our way down shall we? There is a new structure (semi-permanent) in Sandpoint, 2 (soon to be 3) in the Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls areas, and 2 in the Boise Meridian area down South (I heard soon to be 3).

This doesn’t include the 2 Selkirk facilities that include 2 indoor courts at the back of the retail shop where you can demo any of their paddles before you buy, and borrow a few for up to a week too. A great option if you are new and figuring out what works well for you or want an upgrade.

There are 8 Indoor Pickleball Courts Post Falls at the PEAK gym. This same gym has a facility in Hayden Idaho with 3 indoor courts as well as the two Indoor Pickleball Courts Coeur d’Alene at the Selkirk store I spoke about. There was a huge donation last year in Sandpoint that is called the James E. Russel Sports Center where they created 14 indoor courts that can be reserved on the CourtReserve APP.

But wait…..there is more!! The Flying Pickle Post Falls is being built right now and should be ready to open early 2026 as well which will open up another 18 courts so stay tuned for that new location near Stateline on the Washington Idaho border off Beck Road.

Boise Indoor Pickleball Courts

There is only 1 (currently) site in the city of Boise called S2 Pickle but just beyond there are anothers. If you live in the area or plan to visit, Boise – Meridian – Eagle are 3 cities but flow into one another and seem like one. This facility offers a cheaper $99 monthly, unlimited membership. They have 9 courts that can be reserved, offer open play and clinics as well.

Selkirk Sports does have a location too which does technically have 2 indoor but those are really designated for finding the best paddle for you by demoing them at their location. Occasionally they may have a clinic or two but in general they are for trying different ones out. That is what I did before I bought my ERA power pickleball paddle.

Meridian Idaho Indoor Pickleball Courts

A bit outside of the city limits of Boise is Meridian Idaho where they built a huge facility called The Flying Pickle!! This is “more bougie” than the other above with a higher price tag of $149 a month for unlimited membership (family discounts available too) but with that you get a lot more. Complete with 18 courts, lessons, clinics, a restaurant, lounge, open play and more.

Nampa Indoor Pickleball Courts

This location is in the works!! The Meridian location has been SO popular another location is being built right now to add another 18 courts to the Boise area for you to join. You can join their Facebook or Instagram page to follow the progress.

If you are learning how to play pickleball I would highly suggest starting inside, and find yourself a facility that offers new player clinics. Start with 101, move to 102 and you will meet plenty of friends in just those two classes. From there create your own groups where you reserve a court and play together as you continue to develop skills. That is what I did and within 1.5 years I am boardering on a 4.0 level playing a few days a week.

It has enabled me to be in the best shape of my life at almost 50, I have made the best friends as an adult this way and it is a a wonderful stress reliever before or after work.
